Giant white blobby things in Financial District not parts of Stay Puft Marshmallow Man
By adamg on Fri, 07/17/2015 - 1:04pm
RoadTripNE spotted these large white blobby things, wondered if that meant the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man was about to assemble and destroy Faux New York down in the Financial District.
Alas, Robert Caplis reports, there's a more prosaic reason behind the things:
Those are lighting reflectors to establish consistent lighting from scene to scene.

Don't worry
They're just weather ballons - nothing to see here
The real question is...
who is Number One?
You are,
number six.
In all seriousness....
my right inner arm has the Number Six button tattooed on it.
Wait a minute, there ...
You're not really a Boston city councilor, are you?
For those who miss the reference...
It looks like Rover.

Bunny Eggs?
Did the bunnies leave them behind?

Not necessarily for consistency
These are helium balloons with lights inside. They're floated above shooting area and provide soft even light, like moonlight. During night scenes they can help light the scene w/o harsh direct light. Lights are dim able. Not really for consistency but they can do that too. The lighting crew jockeys them around as need be to achieve the look the director of photography and/or gaffer are looking for in shot.
