Flaherty should replace
Flaherty should replace Linehan for District 2 to open up an open seat citywide. Matt O'Malley should run citywide and Andrew Kenneally should run for District 6. We need to also replace Murphy on the council with Anissa or Marty Keough and then Ayanna Pressley to run against Mayor Walsh in 2017. We need new ideas and new blood in the city council. People that would do the job without wanting a big raise every few years.

Bill Linehan
Councilor Linehan does not take the bus # 7 or # 9. He does not care that residents of South Boston wait for ever at the T Bus Stops in South Boston in the am commute or coming home in the pm commute. There is not a politician in South Boston that relies on the T for transportation needs and it shows.
Silver Line to City Point
Whatever happened to the silver line that went down Broadway? SL3?
It interfered with Southie's historic right to double park
Which, remember, dates back to when George Washington double-parked a bunch of cannon on Broadway. Do you think the British would have left if there had been 60-foot carriages up and down the hill in Southie with all those tanks there? Think about that.
SL3 never ran down Broadway
Residents fought it. It was rerouted down East First St instead, but then nobody took it because it was too far out of the way. It was terminated in 2009 due to low ridership.
Basically Southie residents are their own worst enemies.

Records Management practices at Boston City Council and Boston City Clerks Offices needs improvement and more up to date technology/software to put Public Notices online in SEARCHABLE format. Compatibility should be better with audio/video materials for folks hard of hearing, for the Deaf Community, for all folks. Full text transcripts of Captions need to be made available online. Compatibility should be better with Public Notices for vision impaired folks using screen reading technology/software and for all folks searching online for Public Notices.
