There is so much history that needs to be recorded--especially when you realize, as Reverend Haynes points out, how many things have changed--whole swaths of neighborhoods just vanished under the expansion of Northeastern, for example, and many others transformed.

NEU didn't tear down anything or take any land which wasn't already a bombed out lot.
Arsonists, highway clearance, and the BRA on the other hand did.
Lower Roxbury went from being an extension of the South End to a southwestern strip mall in the span of 30 disastrous years.
