Investigators seek guy seen pacing back and forth in front of Fenway bar before man was shot to death
BPD detectives and Suffolk County prosecutors are hoping somebody recognizes a guy in a camo jacket seen walking back and forth in front of Who's on First in the minutes before Jephthe Chery was gunned down last November in a shootout he had nothing to do with.
Three other men were injured in the gun battle; one, Dominique Carpenter-Grady, has been indicted on firearms charges, but has not been charged with Chery's murder.
This footage has been released in hopes that the individual or a member of the public who recognizes him will contact homicide detectives with his identity. At this time, investigators only wish to speak with him about his observations at the scene. Anyone with information on his identity, the shootings, or Chery’s homicide is asked to contact Boston Police homicide detectives at 617-343-4470. Tipsters who wish to remain anonymous may also call the Boston Police CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS or text the word “TIP” to CRIME (27463).

Well
I guess it's really effective camouflage.
i see
a guy lying in wait. creepy.
Creepy
It's creepy when the police car drives right by the guy.
(Not implying the police did anything wrong.)
Pronounced left arm swing after he re-crosses street
Not sure if he's a righty carrying heavy on that side but the left arm swing is fairly pronounced after he leaves the parking lot or whatever that is across from Fenway, while the right hand guards the pocket. Any idea why they waited five months to release video?
Funny how BPD just drove by.
Funny how BPD just drove by. Sometimes if a place is a constant problem BPD should have officers on a fixed post, especially if the business doesn't hire a detail. Smh!
About that
There's an explanation: Minutes before the shooting, a call came in about a fight around the corner.
