People standing in lines in Boston

Three photos of Bostonians standing in lines today. Can you guess which one is different from the other two? Answer (and photo credits) in the comments.

The first photo, by Neal Gaffey, shows people lining up to vote at City Hall today.

The third photo, by Sarah C, shows people lining up to vote at the Back of the Hill apartments on South Huntington Avenue, Mission Hill, today.

The middle photo, by Carro Halpin, shows people lining up for free lunch at the new Verts Mediterranean Grill on Summer Street in Downtown Crossing today.

in this city always blow my mind. Personally, I find the time I'd waste way more valuable than the 10 bucks I'd save.

I saw the same free food line. was minimum a half hour wait. That's about 25 minutes too long for me

Free salad! Woo-hoo!

waiting for the free lunch. Probably the only solid food they've had in days. Obviously, the salaries are too low in Boston.

The salaries are fine, it's the rent that is too high!

+1 for a former New Yorker not writing "standing on lines".

I had to think twice. I've largely lost the accent (except for stuff that doesn't come up often, like, well, er, um, let's just say a certain presidential candidate isn't the only person who says "yuge"), but, damn, that in/on line still gets me every time.

I got an email about the free food this morning and thought, "There will be a line around the corner....I guess I'll pass." I was right!

The genius here is that my brand awareness went from Zero to "Hmmm, I'll have to try that place" in 5 seconds. Adding the free online publicity (clears throat) and they are off to a grand start.

Beer line in JP

Jeff Boudreau was among those in line for Sam Adam's new Big Papi beer.

See, I assumed one of the lines had to be this afternoon's line to see Julian Edelman at his pop-up store on Newbury. A day for lines in Boston I guess!
