Man admits threatening to burn down Boston mosque - and to possession of child pornography and guns

Patrick Keogan, 44, of Wilmington, today pleaded guilty to charges of threatening the Islamic Center of Boston Cultural Center in Roxbury over Facebook, being a felon in possession of dozens of guns and ammunition and possession of child pornography.
Keogan will be sentenced on May 15 for the charges, the US Attorney's office in Boston reports.
Keogan posted a threat on the mosque's Facebook page on Nov. 14, the day after the multiple Paris attacks.

Answer: right wing nut jobs. Eric Robert Rudolph, Dylan Roof, Timothy McVeigh, Posse Commitatus, John Salvi ... the list is lengthy and immense and includes lynchings, too. It all adds up to way more than 9/11 and The Bowling Green Massacre. Way, way more.
Wake the hell up - the people you should fear are your drinking buddies, CCD, not the guy with the turban who makes more money than you because he's worked harder. Consult the Southern Poverty Law Project website if you can't wrap your head around what your friends are up to.

The 9/11 type people (although more rare) have a goal of killing random Americans and if they had the chance would probably blow up the entire country or kill the entire population. The Right wing is more confined to specific hate crimes and if they had the chance would probably not want to blow up the entire country or its people.

I think the feedback loop of the alt-right and 'alt news' will eventually lead these people to conclude that mass attacks on blue state cities are justified because we are 'stealing their votes' or whatever. You think your basic issue Bundy / Ruby Ridge type wouldn't happily blow up a block in Brooklyn or SF or LA? I don't believe that at all any more.

I'd say he's trying to reveal the truth that you're trying to obscure with your false equivalences, i.e., that since 9/11 -- and before, for that matter -- right-wing white terrorists are responsible for far more deaths in the US than Muslims.

Looks like in June he changed a bunch of personal info about himself (school, job, etc) that is... well, suspiciously conspicuous. Either he was hacked, or is really good at trolling himself.
ETA: I initially thought he was arrested in June, but seeing as he wasn't arrested until November, those changes seem, well, like they were made by him time-wise. Must be a really charming guy.

I don't think you are south enough. I've been working in the Gulf of Mexico for almost a decade. Anyone north of I-10 is an elitist yankee. 1) I avoided the comment to Swirly as to say that I wasn't defending her or commenting on that topic, specifically.
2) You missed my point entirely. I said that there is a known republican stereotype out there, I'm familiar with it, and you're really doing a good job at fitting its description. Sure, that's my opinion, but I trust my judgment on that. However, that does not mean that I stereotype every republican I meet (hell, I might not even know they are republican until they say it; at the very least I can hear a right-wing opinion, but that's a distinction of it's own).
3) I grew up spending summers in the south, as my dad grew up there and didn't move up to New England until he was nearly 30. His idea of his vacation was going back home to visit and do things with and for his mother, so me and the rest of my immediate family went, too. I also went to school for about a year in the south, in coal country. I know what I'm getting into down there, but I also met a fair enough amount of democrats, or at least left-leaning people. So, quite frankly, I don't need you to tell me about what's below the Mason-Dixon. I've seen it with my own eyes, especially the year I spent in coal country.
