The second time they've fired Therrien and replaced him with Julien.
He's also come full circle in that he was canned by the Devils back in the day despite the team leading their division, and has now replaced a coach who was canned despite the team leading the division.
I no longer understand NHL playoff seeding after the recent division reshuffling, but it seems possible that they would meet in the first or second round of the playoffs if Boston can hold on to its slot?
But they're also dancing on that same line they have the past two seasons, ultimately missing the playoffs. We'll have to see where some competition is at after their bye-week (currently under way). We'll get a better idea once some other teams catch up to them in games played.
The Bruins had to OK this deal, since Claude was still technically under contract with them. Just shows that Jeremy Jacobs will do anything to save a buck.
The media is begging for a Bruins-Habs playoff series, which is a possibility, but the B's have a lot of work to do for a spot in the postseason. I love Coach Clode for winning a Cup here, but he should have been fired after the disastrous regular season finale last year, and if not then, the home debacle against the Islanders or the wild OT loss in Detroit(after leading 4-1) would have been appropriate times.

Definitely will be interesting
Might have to wait for next season to see it, though, as we have no more games scheduled with them during the regular season.
This was not the twist I expected to see. This is also the second time MTL has fired Therrien and the second time they've hired Claude.
Infinite loop
The cycle continues.

If Only The Ⓣ Would Get Julien Coaches For The Commuter Rail
( some of these Julien coaches look really beautiful! )
They run great for several years
But then their reliability and consistency fade.
Duh
That's exactly why they belong in the MBTA system!

Do The Bruins Host Their Games At The Toronto Dominion Garden?
( I honestly know nothing about tennis, or whatever it is they play )
Yup, the guy is one of the
Yup, the guy is one of the worst owners, always disliked him. Throw in the fact he owns the TD Garden(Delaware North) and cleans up on concessions.
Here's a thought...
Since the Canadiens also fired their (now ex-) coach, perhaps the Bruins should hire him.
THAT would make the next Bruins-Canadiens game interesting.
