Now this is nuts: Jennifer Costa reports the T had to evacuate an Orange Line car at Jackson Square this morning after a squirrel boarded and began running all over the car.
What a disaster, I've seen pigeons look like they want to board. Poor squirrel didn't know what he was getting into.
Since we have an Orange Line thread, this Tuesday and last Friday night at Chinatown after 7:30, there was an open gate. This happens there and at State not infrequently. The T must lose a good amount of revenue.
I have had pingeons on multiple occasions hop on at Forest hills, ride a few stops and then hop off. All very casual and nonchalantly, too, like they were just going to work.
Well, I guess there really is a subreddit for anything. Take the Red daily now though - haven't seen it on the red/Ashmont line yet. Might be only an Orange Line thing :)
to get him in the air (remember Rocky's call of "Alley" and Bullwinkle's response of "Ooop!!!!"). So if Bullwinkle was at Downtown Crossing, Rocky would have no choice but to take the Orange Line to meet him.

They live in the ceiling at Jackson Square. You can see their nest on the window above the Faces sculpture. They have torn down the ceiling. It has been like that for over a year.
The squirrels have a hole to the outside in the roof. I have seen them run vertically on the inside window, go outside on the outside window, and then come back inside, while waiting for the train in the morning.
I have sent T complaints thru their app and personally shown T employees assigned to the station for over a year. I was concerned that the ceiling boards would fall on trains and passengers.
Maybe a little public exposure will get them to fix it.

In Chicago
They held trains because of an animal on the platform. No word as to what it was.
Sounds like trains were bypassing the station
instead of being held. Not good if you have to use that station, but less inconvenient for everyone else.
Meanwhile...
Bullwinkle is waiting in front of Primark wondering what's taking Rocky so long...
Rocky's smarter than that.
Rocky knows that his own flying ability would make taking to the air a better choice than an MBTA subway car.
Except that Rocky always needed Bullwinkle
to get him in the air (remember Rocky's call of "Alley" and Bullwinkle's response of "Ooop!!!!"). So if Bullwinkle was at Downtown Crossing, Rocky would have no choice but to take the Orange Line to meet him.

Most probably...
...true.
Blame Boris and Natasha
He'd be there if it weren't for those meddling Russian spies!
Fearless Leader (Boris's boss) did make the submarines
run on time. However, I doubt he could do the same for the T.
Squirrel sanctuary
The poor squirrel was fleeing the wrath of subway rats which are bigger than cats.
TBH
I wish everyone ignored the thing. Squirrel or nut people have places they need to go.
Obviously, The Squirrel Thought There'd Be Lots Of Acorns There
