Somebody really hates the Dig
By adamg on Thu, 10/30/2008 - 11:04pm
Mike Mennonno reports watching in bemusement today as a distinguished-looking older gentleman opened a Weekly Dig box down by Emerson, took out all the copies of this week's issue, tossed them into a nearby trash can, then crossed the street and repeated the process with the Dig box on the other side.

Which Weekly Dig cover?
Apparently, there are two different ones this week:
Looks like someone doesnt
Looks like someone doesnt want free houses.
Maybe it was that guy who
Maybe it was that guy who wanted the Phoenix out of the liquor store in West Roxbury?
Mistaken Identity
I was going to say Stephen Mindich, but the OP mentions "distinguished".

Well burned.

Oh wow...I had no idea there was a Globe spoof too. Where can I get a copy? I've only seen the Herald take-down in Harvard Square/Allston.
Dig pwns hard.

I got my Globe-themed Dig in Davis Square. I haven't yet found the Herald version.

Nice shot at CHB.
Try Back Bay
That's where I got my Globe version.
Metro Guy
This reminds me of the times I used to take the Metros out of the garbage en masse and put them back in the Metro box... before the MBTA put out their plastic bag paper recycling containers.
So one time when I was doing it, the guy handing out the metros comes over and starts telling me I can't do that, etc... and I'm like "I can do whatever I want buddy!" and after I had put all the clean crisp Metros from the garbage back into the Metro box, he took them all out of the Metro box and back into the garbage. Wish I could have gotten a picture of that ;) But I wouldn't try to get him fired like that douche on the T.
Whine versus Wine

Maybe he was mad because it didn't feature goofy cartoon naked people sunbathing and having a picnic?
