He was on the sand rounding the building before he knew what was up and then decided there was no way to back out, so he plowed ahead until he finally sunk into looser sand.
the final two lines from one of the lesser known, but (IMO) one of the best, SNL "Cheeseburger - Cheeseburger" skits.

I've seen enough ads to know it's common for beer delivery trucks to drive onto the sand and everyone breaks out in a big party.
He must have previously worked for Budweiser and forgotten it doesn't work the same with Coke.
