WCVB reports four people were stabbed at Society on High, 99 High St., shortly after 1 a.m.

The violence comes three weeks after Boston officials met with the owners of local bars and clubs to discuss ways to reduce violence.

Beat 'em again.

To be fair, the local TV stations were all over this, both shortly after it happened and again after daybreak (for the scenes of crews cleaning up all the blood).

The deadline for getting something into the Sunday paper is probably earlier at night than on other days. And 1 am is late for any night.

This is why Boston is not a world class city; you can't go to nightclub without seeing a shooting stabbing or a kidnapping. It's such a sad violent town.

Boston may be a sad town, but it's one of the least violent major cities in the country. You may be conflating hearing about more problems with there actually being more problems.

Not all parts of Boston are violent. Not all bars are dangerous either.

in 'World Class' cities.

A world class city is lame and clearly isn't from Boston because that is not what we care about. We don't even care about being compared to New York. We care about the neighborhood retaining its culture and trying to survive.

Probably will be in tomorrow morning's paper.

Night club fight preceded downtown stabbing of 4, police say

This is pretty surprising for this place. I've never seen it as the kind of place where trouble brews usually.
