Late-night drivers will need to find a way around Soldiers Field Road tonight

DCR reports it will be shutting Soldiers Field Road in both directions at the North Harvard Street between 10 p.m. tonight and 4 a.m. tomorrow to allow for routine bridge inspections.

Anyone know what's they're doing on the Charles next to Memorial Drive between the BU & Harvard bridges? They've been working on that section for the past year.

If just the underpass, all it means is that Soldiers Field Road traffic will have to wait at a light in order to cross North Harvard Street. Do you have a link to the DCR press release?

WHAT: On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) will implement a roadway closure along Soldiers Field Road (inbound/outbound) under the North Harvard Street Bridge in the City of Boston from 10:00PM to 4:00AM to accommodate routine bridge inspection work. Traffic patterns will be clearly marked, and a police detail will be on site.

It would have been too convenient if they said what the detour is. This implies the service roads will be open, but doesn't actually say so.
