BPD detective arrested in West Roxbury on New Hampshire drug charges

The New Hampshire Attorney General's office announced the arrest of Boston Police Sgt. Det. Andrew L. Johnson in West Roxbury today for a Jan. 23 incident in Woodstock, NH, in which he was "found to be in possession of the controlled drugs methamphetamine and amphetamine."
Johnson, was released after his arrest then on conditions he turn himself in to New Hampshire authorities. But he was arrested today by Massachusetts state troopers. According to the Attorney General's office, Johnson lives in Chestnut Hill, an area that includes parts of Newton, Brookline and West Roxbury.
In a statement, Boston Police said Johnson, who had been on the force since 2002, was put on leave on Jan. 27, when officials here learned of his arrest. He is now under investigation by the BPD anti-corruption unit, police said, adding his arrest was part of "an ongoing investigation" by New Hampshire authorities.
Johnson earned promotion from sergeant to sergeant detective in April, 2019. He earned $179,000 in 2020, according to city payroll records.

Cops have ratted cops out for this stuff since the 1970s...how do people think guys like this get caught?
Well, in this case
it's because he got publicly arrested in a completely different state by a completely different police force. Unless this was all some complicated interstate sting, I'm not seeing where anyone ratted anyone else out here.

BPD only covered up for Pat Rose for a few decades before he got caught.

Well
Everyone had been complaining that they take forever to close their cases. Maybe this was a sort of performance enhancing drug to deal with that.
Can't find the Woodstock Police Log
for January 23rd but I wonder what 'incident' led them to detain, find drugs, and still release the guy?
Only to be arrested 2 months later?!
