Just like in the Before Times: Cruise ship to dock in Boston tomorrow and then take passengers on an ocean cruise
By adamg on Tue, 08/17/2021 - 10:50pm
An actual cruise ship will be docking in Boston tomorrow for the first time since 2019, Massport said today.
The Crystal Symphony should pull into the Flynn Cruiseport at Black Falcon Pier around 9 a.m., so it can depart with passengers for the first of four cruises to and from Bermuda on Sunday.
That's more dock time than a cruise ship would normally need, but the extra time will ensure the ship can "clear the last few standard items to get CDC approval," Massport said.
Massport added, "Both passengers and crew will be fully vaccinated."

Great news!
Great news!
So glad everything is getting back to normal, with this pandemic behind us. Icing on the cake is Massport, the least transparent quasi-government body in MA, happily adding that "both passengers and crew will be fully vaccinated." Perfect! I can't possibly think of any issues or objections to the state of MA basically endorsing cruises.
normal?
Does normal include gastrointestinal illnesses such as norovirus that made more than an occasional pitstop on cruise ships BEFORE Covid?
Normal
Those ships were floating petri dishes known for being great places to catch diseases before COVID. Good luck.
Seems OK to me
If there's an outbreak of covid on board, it's very likely to be mild, given the vaccination status.
Frankly I'd be more concerned about the norovirus.
The pandemic is behind us?
The pandemic is behind us? News to me!

Does "fully vaccinated" mean
Does "fully vaccinated" mean "either vaccinated or granted medical or religious exemption"?
Cruise lines are private property
It means what they say it means - likely all shots or no cruise.
Like that fully vaccinated SC
Like that fully vaccinated SC couple that went to Greece and infected everyone in their way.
