And the first storm-related shortage is, um, cheese?
By adamg on Thu, 01/27/2022 - 8:54pm
Molly the roving UHub photographer was at least mildly, if not sharply, surprised to see how barren the packaged-cheese case at the Chestnut Hill Wegmans was this evening. Are shoppers there bigger fans of grilled cheese than French toast, or is this just one of those general supply-chain issues that are all the rage these days and nothing at all to do with the Saturday storm?

My guess

The Allston Trader Joe's was almost out of sliced cheese too.

Hm...
Which of you heathens is making your pizza with sliced cheese?
Even pre-shredded
should be avoided whenever possible.
Wednesday Night
Costco: busy, not crazy. Full of cheese.
Adjacent Target: busy, but food section looked sacked by raiding hordes. Very little cheese. Plenty of eggs, milk gone.
That's not gouda news. Maybe
That's not gouda news. Maybe things will get feta, even though it's like a kick in the asiago. Don't get blue. Be American!
I camembert it.
I camembert it.
The latter.
The latter.
Market basket Today
Market Basket this morning was well stocked. But its hard to tell with them.. they have employees who constantly reface the store to avoid holes so its unless you are looking for something in particular and it's not there to purchase. And Market Basket is silly about this as they'll fill a shelf with a unrelated product too.
The only empty display I saw was the refrigerated dough products (i.e. Pillsbury), the cheese was well stocked tho.
The only thing they didnt have was 'Swift Brown & Serve Sausage" like none. And regular special K, which they have been out of for weeks now.
Oh and I'd give it a DEFCON 3 when I went but rapidly becoming a DEFCON 4 when I left.
The power of cheese.
The power of cheese.
