Our very own homegrown Roche Bros, the Produce News (whose slogan should be "Lettuce inform you" but isn't) announces:
"We have trained our pickers to pick better than you would if you were buying for yourself,” said Murray. "That’s been a hard line that we have taken right from the beginning." If a produce picker is unsure about something, they are instructed to involve a produce manager or another expert in the department to help out.

Wow, what a nice story
Rochies ain't cheap, but they do have a heart of gold.
Thats why
Thats why if I am in need of something & in DTX.. I just go to Roche. I might squawk at prices but.. I remember Roche is a good employer, a good neighbor, and offers a lot to the community where their stores are. (I mean they opened a store in DTX where no other grocery store would want to go.. this says alot).
So I don't mind paying a bit more to support a local biz.
Grocery workers are also front line employees
In my opinion, that goes for delivery people as well. Congrats.
Lovely
I like the staff a lot(!) and I like the closeout table.
I like the ice-cream they stock.
But I tire of large beautiful produce being the only thing available because my tongue and my wallet outrank my eyes.
But that's just "good" merchandising.
Sometimes beauty is only skin deep.
They are better than many, I'll grant them that.
RIP Russo's
Russo's produce and service were lovely.
A real loss...
I've had to cut so many recipes from my diet because Russo's was the only local vendor of so many produce items.
The Quincy location is
The Quincy location is closing soon.
You better vote Roche
Or they will cut you .
