After the bomb threat of December 14, another notification was sent to the Tufts community on Thursday December 15 to evacuate.

It's almost certainly the latter.
As a Tufts alum and an academic (one who has dear friends who work in East Hall) I don't see how this threat would make sense for a current student because, if the pandemic taught us anything, finals will proceed regardless.
Not that the distinction matters much: It's the fear-mongering bootlickers of the soi-disant masters of the universe responsible for this crap.

The Red Line bomb threats yesterday
The red line also had to be delayed as a group of delinquents announced they were going to blow up the train scaring the other passengers on the train and causing a major delay in service.
