I hope they locate
The Blue Honda Civic and take it in for questioning.
Horrible!
Horrible!
Must be so distressing for the woman and the dog. I hope these thieves are caught, punished and Rose comes to no harm
If this dog was taken from
If this dog was taken from someone’s arms perhaps in Dorchester or Roxbury, it wouldn’t be in the news at all, since it’s beacon hill, it’s the crime of the century.
Lemme guess you're wonderful at parties & social gatherings
*eye roll*
You also didnt read the link. It wasn't taken from her arms, she's a dog walker and had a bunch of dogs tied up while she went in to get another dog. They actually reached for this specific dog.
you didnt read the link either
because I also wondered how exactly the dog was taken, the instagram post doesnt even say it was taken directly from a person, let alone a woman. I still dont know where that extra information came from.
Neither did you?
The linked article/report says that the dog owner HIRED a dog walker. The dog walker was on his rounds, temporarily tied a group of dogs to a railing outside an apt building while he fetched another dog to add to the pack and continue the walk (I’ve seen this before and always thought it was weird to leave pooches unattended like that even only for a min or two). While the dog walker was getting the additional dog from the building, the civic pulled up and its occupant stole the McNugget dog from the group that was temporarily tied to the railing.
like i said
I was referring to the Instagram post, which was originally the only source material linked, and which has no other context around what happened.
The article came afterwards, as an update.
It's not about the location
What a silly comment. Oh, and 15 thumbs up? I don’t get it. Look, this crime was witnessed and reported to authorities. The owner posted about it on social media. More people have dogs now so more people will feel the pain. If a owner IN ANY PART OF TOWN did the same, and we all became aware of the crime, I would feel the pain as well and want to know that the dog was recovered. Please don’t make this a race, class or neighborhood issue. It is sad and scary for everyone. Everyone loves dogs and no one wants to see someone lose their beloved pet, or see the pet come to any harm.
Dog on Beacon > Child in Roxbury?

A dog on Beacon Hill makes this site while a missing child in Roxbury in the same day doesn't, that's why comments like that get thumbs up.

Thank you for good news!! So glad dog and dog's human are reunited so quickly.
Safe to say...
The men who snatched the dog realized they made the news very quickly and know the police are looking for them and the dog. Wise of them to drop the dog off hours later, but I think BPD will still investigate by asking the ones in Mattapan who found the pet if they have any connections to the culprits.
ruh-ROH!! Fact Checker, Reporting In
Umm actually, the dog did not get nabbed while walking with her owner.
FACT Dom Mariano, the dog walker, had fastened a small group of dogs under his charge to some sort of post while he dashed into a building to fetch yet another pooch for the scoop-dee-doop walk-a-roo. And that's when the dognappers absconded with Rose.
