Broadway South Boston
Sts. Peter and Paul Church on right. Broadway station behind photographer.
Interesting church/building
Looks like it's used as a residential building now, but still has the appearance of a church.
Here's a google street view of the same location.
Patrick Keely Church
Converted to residential in 2002. I’ve got pics of the interior during reno. The Archdiocese buries old altars in a cemetery in Braintree if they can’t reuse them in another church.
Keely has a lot of churches in Boston.

He should get the same recognition as Charles Bulfinch owing to his contributions to the Boston streetscape.
St. Peter & Paul's Church
If my memory is correct, this was the first church in South Boston to be "given over to profane use ( the church's term, not mine)."
St. Peter and Paul's
It's condos now, I went in for a house tour about 15 years ago. The conversion was really interesting in the way they used those big windows across multiple floors.
St Monica’s
The old St Monica’s in Andrew Square was converted decades ago to residential.
Alright, but remember, you asked for this:
You're a cab.
Funny, it doesn't look like it's raining

When I Drove Cab
When I drove cab for ITOA in the 1970s, that's the same location I used to wait for radio calls.
Dispatcher: "Top at Broadway."
Me, in cab #325: "325"
Dispatcher: "Pick up at Gillette, going to Logan."
Me: "On my way."
Suldog
Triple O’s
on the left.
You're a cab.

The Answer
This photo shows Boardway and Dorchester Ave in 1939. Thanks for playing, folks!
Boardway?
Is that like Boardwalk?
The yuppies
Call it West Broadway Street.
