Channel 25 reports crazed outdoorsy types are, even as I type this, standing in the pouring rain in Dedham waiting for the new L.L. Bean to open this morning - in another hour and ten minutes.
They should send out employees with raingear for sale at discount, or for people to test and to buy if they like them. Then people coming in to the store, the media, etc., would see plenty of happy, dry people in highly effective rain gear.
My LLB rain gear certainly kept me pretty dry this morning... but I put it on before going outside. Not sure how much it would help someone who's already soaked!
LL Bean clothing keeps these people from breeding. It's so unattractive, it acts as birth control-- no one wants to shtup these people, not even themselves. Not entirely successful, but it does keep the WASP numbers down.
