State, Boston Medical Center to hold online meeting on Shattuck Hospital expansion plans

The state, which owns the current Shattuck Hospital off Morton Street and Boston Medical Center are holding a Zoomed meeting on Tuesday to discuss their plans to replace the current hospital with new buildings with up to 405 apartments and new beds and clinical services for people with substance-abuse issues and the homeless, including families.
Both Pine Street Inn, currently building an apartment building on Washington Street, and the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corp. are also involved in the project.
The session starts at 5:30 p.m. Pre-registration required.

JP has at least 2 other Pine Street Inn permanent housing structures. One of them is even featured on their website on their Permanent Housing page. No need to "make" JP walk the walk, it already does and will continue to do so.

Shattuck already helps people (they’re people you know, not flesh-eating ghouls) with substance abuse today, run past there today and you’ll see people enjoying a smoke and *not* destroying the park.
Matter of fact, if we want to really help Franklin Park, let’s take out the golf course.
why zoom?
the Covid emergency has ended. Time for public "servants" to come out from under their rocks and conduct legitimate public meetings and hearings.

Zoom is much more accessible to all residents of the city and therefore more legitimate. We can just log in, and not have to travel to it, take time off work to get there on time, cram into a conference room with poor accessibility, find childcare, etc etc etc.
