Police add short Dorchester street to roads blocked off on weekend nights after man is shot to death
The Dorchester Reporter reports Boston Police are now shutting Old Road - a shortcut between Blue Hill Avenue and Columbia Road - on weekend nights following the Sept. 2 murder of Xavier Rivas.
The Reporter quoted nearby residents, who include City Councilor Brian Worrell and his brother, state Rep. Chris Worrell, that the road has gotten completely out of control with weekend street parties featuring car-sized speakers that last until the next morning.
Police already barricade roads in Franklin Park and the Arnold Arboretum, along with parts of Westview Street, Talbot Avenue and American Legion Highway at the Mattapan/Roslindale line in an attempt to curb the weekend parties.

I'm glad this is fun for you

Perhaps a legal, permitted block party here would be a good idea
so that people could attend it instead of the non-permitted late-night events. There was one on Blue Hill Avenue earlier in the summer that people seemed to enjoy.
Also, could a non-residential area be set aside specifically for the late-night partiers, far away from here, where they would not bother any neighbors?
Oh come on...
And where, praytell, my doe-eyed Ron would that even be? The point is to have the party where people can attend...and last time I looked, everything within range of a "car-sized speaker" is residential here.
Find some middle ground
Set up a "secluded" place and get all the partiers to agree to forego the big speaker and just have everyone wear headphones and only bring drinks as strong as Dr. Pepper.

End of Black Falcon Pier
All industrial. Nobody lives anywhere near it. But the Silver Line goes there!
Uh huh
Drinking, partying, cars...
...on a pier.
Do you hear yourself?
So, instead of a shadowy
So, instead of a shadowy through Street, we will have a shadowy alley?
