Two dead in Morrissey Boulevard rollover

State Police report two people died and two more were injured - one critically - in a rollover crash shortly after 3:15 a.m. on Morrissey Boulevard northbound, near the UMass entrance, in Dorchester.
Three of the four people in the car were teenagers, State Police say, adding the driver of the 2013 Hyundai Accent appeared to have been speeding.
State Police say one victim was declared dead at the scene. The other victims were taken to local hospitals, where one died, another remains in critical condition and the fourth was determined to have injuries not life threatening.
The Dorchester Reporter reports the road was shut between UMass and Freeport Street, but was re-opened around 7:45 a.m..

I think you've made up someone to be mad at here, dude
"Better road safety" means that it's harder for people to "drive like fools" and there are lesser consequences if they should do so. It's not making fun of anyone to ask for that and it's something we should all want.
(also, there's something very ironic by complaining that we're making fun of kids dying, while you're the one saying that they were "driving like fools" - is that the polite and respectful way to discuss this then?)

My charitable interpretation is that you came in hot and flaming, only you replied one comment down from the one you meant to. In such cases, the better person acknowledges the mistake, apologizes for their deplorable behavior, and resolves to do better in the future. Not reflexively responding to everything with ad hominems would be a good place to start.

Not the first time either; I remember a comparable incident a dozen years ago when 4 teenagers crashed at high speed into a wall near the Comfort Inn and all died.
Last month we had speed humps installed on my busy residential street/cut through and surrounding area. It's an amazing and durable improvement at little cost.
For once, it would be great if Boston could be a leader (instead of following what Cambridge and Somerville do after a few years) and come up with some similar measures on fast streets that would make it very unpleasant to exceed 25-30 MPH on the likes of Morrissey, Blue Hill Ave or Mass Ave. I understand that some of these roads are not controlled by Boston alone, but the city holds plenty of sway when it wants to.
There is the regular red herring argument that it would slow down emergency response but traffic is a much greater impediment to rapid response and we do nothing about it. Reducing the danger -and need for emergency response -should be the priority.
A couple of things
First, this is a major artery, so speed humps probably won't happen.
Second, and more importantly, this is a state road, so don't blame Boston. State roads in Cambridge and Somerville have similar issues.

7 News at 9 was reporting tonight that the crash may have been the result of a TikTok challenge about stealing cars of that type currently circulating.
Who knew TikTok was this influential on teenagers?; Seriously.

There’s a Half As Interesting YouTube video I’m too lazy to track down on this. You hotwire the surprisingly easy to hotwire Korean car of your choice and create a Tik Tok video of yourself doing it. I don’t condone it- it’s theft, after all, and a day earlier a woman was on the news after getting the sole means of transporting her baby stolen due to this- but sadly it’s a thing. A stupid, stupid thing.
