Citizen complaint of the day: Revere residents taking up all the good parking spaces near Belle Isle Marsh
By adamg on Sat, 03/02/2024 - 1:03pm
An annoyed citizen files a 311 complaint about the situation on the East Boston side of Bennington Street at the Revere line:
Continuous parking at Bennington Street, Revere border. Closest to 1399 Bennington Street, after the entrance to Belle Isle Marsh Reservation. These vehicles are likely all Revere residents. No oversight here, still residential parking up to the Revere boundary.
East Boston permit sign just past Napoles (the place with the plane seemingly crashed into the roof) on Bennington Street.

Why can't stupid destructive
Why can't stupid destructive humans leave nature and its birds and wild animal life alone?? Bad enough we are destroying all the natural wilds and water everywhere in the city already. Yeah, and Revere too. We already see Boston's parks, sidewalks and bodies of water are polluted and used as a littering and toilet receptacle.
but this post is about parking
not about any damage humans might be doing to the marshland.
Friends of the Belle Isle Marsh
and the DCR maintains the park very well and to date the flora and fauna have not been disturbed.
Cry me a marsh!
I think the city has higher priority enforcement locations for their severely under priced street parking then alongside a park at the edge of the city.
Maybe people in Revere like to go to Belle Marsh …
…. also? The complainant isn’t even sure the cars actually do belong to Revere residents.
There’s parking
Off street on the park. If anything it’s probably construction workers from Suffolk Downs.
Doubt that
There's no shortage of parking at Suffolk Downs and it's a pain to get from Bennington St. to Suffolk Downs, too.
