Citizen complaint of the day: Look at that hole! Look at it!

Hole pointers in Christopher Columbus Park

A really aggravated citizen filed a 311 complaint about two holes somebody dug in the lawn at Christopher Columbus Park, to the point of gathering three fellow citizens by one of them to point at it, just in case Parks workers doubt them or something:

Two 10” holes about 10’ apart are still in the lawn at Christopher Columbus Park under the trees. Can someone please fill these in before someone breaks an ankle? The exercise classes are practically on top of them. I reported this last year and nothing was done about it.

And the person who dug the hole: Sam, the selfish loser.

Who names their dog Sam?

why would it bother you that some people who use the park would like the lawn level... to be useful for things that people do in parks.

Having any standards at all for public spaces makes someone a Karen?

Forget “look for the helpers.” & look for the pointers. This is silly. Get a life.

A group of people took a humorous photo to submit a standard work request on the city's system specifically for such requests.

You find that objectionable?

Are we sure that "somebody" who dug the hole isn't an animal? Anyway, it makes me think of the "Seinfeld" episode with the subculture of people who dig holes in Central Park at night.

That's a Seinfeld episode about that!?? I can't believe there's an episode I didn't see! Well, there's my priority for the day - watching that episode!

Ironically, this 311 report was logged just after someone logged one to report that someone stole their kimchi from Christopher Columbus Park.

Is the 311 department really equipped to handle stolen kimchi?

Was the kimchi buried in the hole?

Yes.
That is one way of making kimchi, right?
Seal the ingredients in an earthenware jar or jug and bury it for a while to ferment - or am I mixing up with some other culture/dish?

Pretty sure that joke went over everyone's heads.

You are right, though I also recall people making Sauerkraut that way as well. My dad mentioned once his German grandmother would ferment it in the basement rather than bury it, but that others would bury it.

The hole looks a bit small for a dutch oven, otherwise I would have thought Bean Hole Supper (which, feels wrong to write with an actual r)
