At Spot Pond. They've been there for the last several years, and like to hang out on top of the tower at the water plant on the edge of the pond. One year there were at least 3 juvenile birds at the lake. It's pretty amazing to see them (but they sound ridiculous).
Heck, I saw one flying over Mattapan a couple of years ago. I think their breeding population is getting strong in the Greater Boston area and being in the vicinity of Spot Pond it would be a natural place to see one. They love fish.

It would certainly be no surprise
as there are a few different nests in the area. But of course it's still lovely to see them. :-)
