Man stabbed in possible Allston road-rage incident; suspect arrested

A man was stabbed in the chest and leg on Cambridge Street near Brighton Avenue and North Beacon Street around 6 p.m. The alleged stabber drove away in a reddish-orange SUV.

Boston Police report arresting John Burgo, 40, of Brockton, on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault to murder and assault and battery.

Officers were advised that the suspect exited his vehicle and approached the victim’s vehicle. A verbal altercation ensued which quickly turned violent.

Police add the victim's injuries are not considered life threatening.

The entire incident was captured by a surveillance camera aboard an MBTA bus that happened to be stopped there at the time, police say.

Innocent, etc.

Now see, if Burgos had been a little smarter & just stayed in his vehicle, he could’ve gotten away with murder! After all, when you kill someone with your car, State Cops will protect your identity and even release a statement saying it was “probably” an accident! Or maybe they only do that when the victim is on a bicycle?

Its been 2 1/2 months since someone driving a Mercedes SUV on Memorial Drive jumped the curb and struck & killed John Corcoran, who was riding on the designated (albeit lousy) shared sidewalk. State Police and the Middlesex DA refuse to release the name of the killer, and a Trooper told Cambridge Day that the driver “probably lost control of the vehicle.”

Notice that they didn't release the name of the drunk who thought she had a special lane to herself, only to derail?
