Five arrested in closing-time melee at Theater District club
Boston Police report arresting two Bostonians and three Randolph residents in a donnybrook that just would not stop around 2 a.m. on Sunday at Club Venu, 100 Warrenton St..
Police report that club security managed to break up a fight but that when they and a detail officer were escorting one of the alleged pugilists out, general mayhem erupted and the detail officer, fearing for his and their safety, called for backup. As the reinforcements were clearing things up front, a new fight broke out inside the club, police say. A one-man punch-throwing flying wedge was arrested, which led to one of his friends following police outside and yelling at them and, eventually, pushing an officer.
Then a yelling match erupted, at the end of which yet another club goer began shoving officers, police say, adding it took a dose of pepper spray to get her under control. Finally, when a friend of hers refused to leave it be and continued to yell at officers and began heading their way despite their orders to stop, they gave him a dose of the spray as well, police say.
Pierre DuBois, 20, of Boston, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Harrison Nwabude, 27, of Randolph, was charged with disorderly conduct, affray and resisting arrest. Richard Nerese, 26, of Randolph, was charged with assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest. Kellei Estwick, 27, of Randolph, was charged with disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest. Bernard Paul, 27, of Boston, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

GO HETEROS !!!
GO HETEROS !!!
Hey Adam?
While this has become predictable and comical at this point, can I ask why you're still tolerating it?
Just because they wouldn't sleep with 1047
Doesn't mean they are straight.
All in their . . .
. . . 20's. Is there a place other than hotel bars where a curmudgeon in his early forties can get a quiet club soda and cranberry and not hear pounding music- see a football game on the tube- or hear some 24/7 cable news blather? Just wondering.
Try the Burren in Davis Square
No televisions. Sometimes live Irish fiddle music, but not at 'pounding' volume.
Stats Bar - Southie
Multi-TV for Sports/news....no loud music, relatively quiet and decent menu
I thought the commenter did NOT want TV sports in the bar
Maybe I misinterpreted?
Yeah- no teevee.
Would prefer a place with no TeeVee or if TeeVee- volume off.
What part of town are you in
What part of town are you in Chris? I'm in Rosi and when I think no-TV no-drama place for a drink, I probably think first of the Brendan Behan in JP. Small, friendly, dim but not dark, and when there's music it's rarely loud and usually quality (ocasionally there are siesuns).
Decent cocktails, very good selection of 20 or so beers on tap - even more in bottles, and also some decent single malts.
Actually I think there's an old TV over to the side that sometimes gets turned on if there's a Sox-Yankees game or similar, but typically it's not on.
Oh, and they allow dogs, so heads-up if you're allergic or just don't care for the company of canines.
No.
No.
Anon here again and I'm not a
Anon here again and I'm not a shill for last week's club management.
I'm only anon b/c I don't post enough to need a handle.
Like I said, this stuff can break out in a heartbeat there on the weekends.
Case in point.
Would love to hear from all the posters saying how safe this area is.
BS.
Maybe at 10:30 when the theater gets out.
Stick around and see pure buffoonery and thuggery.
