Woman's screams scare off gun-wielding bank robber in the South End

A roving Universal Hub reporter checks in this afternoon:
I was just in my Sovereign Bank bank branch on Tremont Street and a black male came in, asked for all their money, flashed his gun, and then freaked out when a woman freaked out and fled.
Boston Police and the FBI bank robbery task force are on the scene.

And did a bystander deck the woman?
They would've been justified, in self-defense. Bank robberies here aren't very dangerous, if money is handed over and robber leaves, smoothly and quickly. Freaking out, however, is a good way to get people killed.
