A man armed with a rifle and a shotgun burst into his parents' home on Hopewell Road in Hyde Park around 3:35 a.m., fired at least one shot at arriving officers, then barricaded himself in until officers were able to take him into custody, unharmed, around 9:10 a.m. Read more.
Boston Police report arresting three teens they say they found in a stolen car and seizing a gun loaded with nine bullets and the wallet of the car's owner, in the parking lot of the Wendy's at American Legion Highway and Walk Hill Street in Roslindale early Saturday. Read more.

Boston Police report a man found lying in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven at 140 Main St. in Charlestown around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday was dead from a gunshot wound.
Police say Joseph Donahue, 46, of Charlestown, was pronounced dead at the scene. He is Boston's first murder victim in 2025.
Boston Police report arresting a 15-year-old on charges he shot a man in the leg on Wilbert Road in the Franklin Hill development in Dorchester around 12:15 a.m. on Dec. 23. Read more.

A 15-year-old from West Roxbury faces charges that he and two accomplices broke into a Weld Street home, then made the teen they found there strip at the point of a gun and knives so they could steal his expensive pants along with fancy sneakers, shoes and sneakers and an older iPhone, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. Dorchester man admits he got off a bus at Ruggles packing a loaded gun, magazines and plenty of ammo
A man accused by the feds of trying to assemble a collection of explosives in his Dorchester home pleaded guilty yesterday to two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition for his arrest by federal agents at the Ruggles T stop on Thanksgiving, 2020. Read more.

A woman was shot in the ankle at 8 Rev. Burke St. in the Old Colony development off Dorchester Street in South Boston around 8:05 p.m.
The woman was transported to a local hospital with injuries not considered life threatening.
