Why would anybody carjack a Sonic? Isn't that the lousy little car you get stuck with when the rental place is out of PT Cruisers? Does Chevy actually have any Sonic sales outside of rental fleet vehicles?

Given the higher risk and the higher penalty vs. simply stealing an unoccupied car, it seems clear that "stealing a car" isn't the primary reason why someone carjacks.

Have you ever even rented a car? I've never seen any Sonic or PT Cruiser rentals. It's all Malibu.

Plus, like the commented below mentioned, this smells more than just a car theft. I know you were trying to make a joke, but it's not funny.
