Police: Teen near Burke High lifted sweatshirt to show cops he didn't have a gun, except he did
Boston Police report arresting a Roslindale teen near Burke High School, 60 Washington St. in Dorchester, on gun charges after school yesterday.
Police say gang-unit officers were patrolling the area around Burke around 3:15 p.m. because of info they'd gotten that a couple of guys with guns might be wandering around:
Officers observed one of these males and attempted to make conversation with him. The officers explained that there had been a report of a person with a gun in the area, to which the individual replied it wasn't him and lifted his sweatshirt up to reveal his waistband. As he did so, the officers observed a heavy object that appeared to be a firearm in his left pocket. For officer safety, the officer reached over and felt the object and recognized it as a firearm.
Police say the officers seized the teen's loaded Davis Industries .380 Auto gun and charged the teen, too young to be named, with being delinquent for unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and unlawfully carrying a loaded firearm.

Pfffffft!
How stupid can one get!?!?
There seems to be one or two incidents reported
a week wherein the BPD disarms a person with a firearm without the use of lethal force. Self appointed community leaders should protest this professionalism as it robs them of their argument that the BPD is ineffective.
Yep!
Great job, BPD!
And unfortunately, all of these great incidents will be forgotten if there is one high profile problem incident. Thanks to Adam for keeping these daily updates in the news.
