Teen arrested on gun charges; fourth one this week
Boston Police report gang-unit officers who thought a particular teen from Dorchester might be carrying a gun were proven right twice when they stopped him at 158 Walnut Ave. in Roxbury around 10:10 p.m. yesterday and found him carrying two guns - a Ruger .45 caliber firearm and a Taurus 9mm.
The 17-year-old was charged with being delinquent for unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm for the second time, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession of a high-capacity feeding device and trespassing.
He was the fourth teenager arrested on gun charges this week:
Around 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, gang-unit officers arrested a Somerville 17-year-old at Dorchester Avenue and Old Harbor Street in South Boston on charges of possession of an illegal gun and ammunition.
Around 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, the gang unit arrested a Dorchester 17-year-old at 339 Adams St. in Dorchester they say was packing a loaded gun with a high-capacity feeding device. Around 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, the gang unit arrested a 16-year-old from Braintree at 88 Draper St. in Dorchester on gun charges after they allegedly saw him clutching his waistband, something people normally only do if they're trying to hide a gun without a holster.
