Man jumped, robbed while walking up Roslindale street

Around 10 p.m., a person walking up Canterbury Street from Hyde Park Avenue towards Sacred Heart School was followed by somebody who punched him several times and took his backpack, wallet and phone. The suspect, described as black, in his late teens or early 20s, with short hair and wearing a black hoodie, fled down Pinedale Road. Police recovered the backpack.

Odd move by the perp

Pinedale is a dead end street. I mean, you could theoretically get to Grew, but that is a steep drop.

I hope the cops catch the guy. I run in the area around that time (but not tonight.) Never felt unsafe, but one asshole can ruin that.
