Man held up at gunpoint on Boston Street in Dorchester; one suspect arrested
Boston Police report a man was attacked and held up at gunpoint "by a group of males and a female," at Boston and Howell streets around 9:20 p.m. on Thursday.
The victim provided a description of the suspects and their direction of flight. Officers located a group who matched the description of the suspects. The members of the group dispersed and immediately fled to the rear of 782 Dorchester Avenue upon seeing officers. Officers were able to apprehend one of the males who was identified as the suspect who had assaulted the victim and stole his belongings. Officers recovered the victim’s property as well as a black 9 mm Ruger loaded with four rounds of live ammunition.
Hector Juarbe, 18, of Roxbury, was charged with armed robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition, police say.
