Man with two loaded guns was driving stolen car near scene of double shooting in Dorchester, police say
Boston Police report that officers patrolling the area where two teens were shot stopped a car that had been reported stolen, arrested the driver for the loaded gun they say was on the front seat, then arrested two more people they say tried to keep them from arresting the guy.
Police report the officers stopped the car around 5:40 p.m. outside 27 Ellington St. around 5:40 p.m. on Thursday.
As the officers approached to speak with the operator, later identified as Malik Knight, 21, of Dorchester, he attempted to exit the vehicle at which time, the officers immediately observed a firearm in plain view on the driver’s seat. The weapon was later determined to be a loaded 9mm Smith and Wesson M&P handgun. At this time, a violent struggle ensued as the officers attempted to gain control of the suspect.
Police say they later recovered a second gun, a loaded Springfield XD handgun, from a backpack Knight was wearing at the time.
Police add that a gun-sniffing dog found a third loaded gun, a loaded .25 caliber Lorcin handgun, near where a group of people had been standing as the traffic stop began.
Police say that as officers struggled with Knight, "several individuals who had been standing nearby came towards the officers in an attempt to interfere with their arrest. "
Officers arrested two of them, Emoni Eason-Robinson, 21, of Dorchester and a Dorchester teen, at 17 too young to be identified, police say.
Malik was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm - 2nd and subsequent - unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm, possession of a large-capacity feeding device, receiving stolen property and resisting arrest, police say.
Eason-Robinson was charged with assaulting a police officer and interfering with a police officer. The teen was charged with the juvenile equivalents of those crimes, police say.
Innocent, etc.

Maybe this time he actually punished.

this is Massachusetts
he won't be punished - this is Massachusetts. He will need at least three or four more illegal gun possession charges before he does any serious time. And at the same time, we'll have to listen about how we need stronger gun laws - what a joke.

The legal system is not clear cut as we tend to believe. These guys will definitely serve less than a year or get no jail time. From I find out the law is always on the bad guys side when the police is involve. The police always find ways to make mistakes when collecting evidence.
I don’t get it...
Isn’t that exact reason why there should be tougher gun laws? Not only in obtaining one but penalties as well....
Tougher laws are meaningless
Tougher laws are meaningless when not enforced. MA lawful gun owners are constantly whacked in the nose by the legislature and attorney general while criminals continue to waltz around offending with no fucks to give. Look at the number of illegal possession, shooting, stabbing, etc crime posts on here with multiple time repeat offenders.
We have too many plea dealing DAs worried about a flawless win record to advance their careers and Looney judges that would let Ted effing Bundy out with promises to behave. Those problems are difficult to fix, so the legislature keeps passing new laws to look like they are "doing something" when in reality they aren't.
Look at the War on Drugs or Prohibition. Government kept "doing something" with increasingly draconian laws making things worse without dealing with the real problems because that is too hard.
1st offense is Mando 2.5 yrs
1st offense is Mando 2.5 yrs in house of correction 18 month to serve rest suspended 2 yrs probation he will get 3-5 yrs in state prison or plead to 3.3 and a day he won't get parole I've spent 3 yrs incarcerated last time in 2011 and that was law's then there is no way out of any less than that unless he becomes a big Informant possibly even behind the walls.
