Man shot to death near Ross Playground in Hyde Park

Boston Police report a man was shot outside 26 Ayles Rd. shortly before 3 p.m.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police say.

It's the latest in a series of gun-related incidents near Ross Playground: In July, a man was charged with threatening two people with a gun on Reddy Avenue, a month after another man was charged with threatening four people with a gun near the park.
