Man shot to death in Egleston Square

Update: Victim identified as Christopher Shivers.

Boston Police report a man was shot at 2055 Columbus Ave. around 10:15 p.m. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The former Home for Aged Couples.
Now a Rogerson Community housing facility. Across from a BPL branch. Half a block from an inviting entrance to Franklin Park. A long dead old dog of mine’s young paw prints in the sidewalk cement.

I’m sorry to hear a man died here just as spring begins.
