Man fatally shot on Centre Street in Dorchester

Victim identified as Naythan Matos, 23, of Providence.

Boston Police report a man showed up at a Boston hospital with gunshot wounds and then died tonight.

After an investigation, police , they determined the man had been shot at 381 Centre St. in Dorchester around 8:30 p.m.

Police had earlier said the shooting did not appear not related to another fatal shooting in Mattapan around the same time.

Boston murders in 2023.

Massachusetts has the toughest gun laws in the country— and other than Hawaii, the fewest gun deaths.

At least in the Commonwealth, the laws are not the matter.

Maybe he came from New Hampshire to die.
