I work just beyond Sullivan Square into Somerville (down Washington St) and have thought of just walking to work from Chelsealand via the produce market (google says it would be just about the same amount of time as it would taking the T).

But walking along or trying to cross Alford street scares me, especially after the sun sets. Not much going on one side of the street and the other its mini vegas with all its lights.

And it being so wide I dont think cars are used to seeing pedestrians trying to cross streets.

One day a few weeks ago (while in a car) I was behind some biker coming out of Beecham onto Alford street (southbound, so making a left) turn with a baby strapped into a seat behind them. Kudos off to folks who can do that but even I took a deep breath and wished them the best with Boston drivers. They seem to do OK once they got onto the lane separated path just above the Casino property.

Scary place to be on foot tbh

There's a street with that name in Chelsea, and another unrelated one in East Boston, but I can't find one anywhere near Route 99 in Everett.
