Of all the places to rob downtown, one man chooses the Burger King, police say
A man was arrested yesterday afternoon as he was trying to rob the Burger King, 128 Tremont St. downtown, Boston Police report.
Police charge that the man went up to the counter and showed a gun to a cashier around 1:30 p.m. Somebody quickly alerted police and officers arrived in time to see Sibley still at the counter:
Officers were able to place the suspect into handcuffs, and recovered a firearm from his waistband. The firearm was later determined to be a Taurus G2 with one round in the chamber and eight rounds in a large capacity magazine.
The suspect was charged with armed robbery, illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, illegal possession of a large-capacity feeding device and resisting arrest, police say.

And...
And doing something dumb. Sorry, doesn't quite rhyme. But given the possible penalties for armed robbery, you have to be a special kind of stupid to risk that for what's in a fast food cash register.
When I was kid in late 80s
I attended Don Bosco ( now a DoubleTree Hotel) and ACC Boston Public School. We hung out on the common, eating Burger King and taunting pigeons with French fries. We called that Tremont St. Burger King "Burger Queen".
Took some special K (ketamine) on day with a friend. We sat in the downstairs in the Burger King laughing or heads off , scaring the other customers.
