Person shot at Blue Hill Avenue gas station

A person was shot at the Mobil station at 783 Blue Hill Ave. at American Legion Highway around 5:15 this morning.

Boston Police officers who initially responded to the station on a report of a fight between a man and a woman found no victim but did find blood and a spent shell casing - the victim and several women raced up to a Boston trauma center for care. A suspect fled the scene in a separate car.

The BPD homicide unit was called in due to the severity of the victim's injuries.

The shooting was one of at least five this morning, one fatal, the other three at the same time and place.
