Double shooting at Dorchester barber shop kills one; across street from where another man was murdered last week

Victim identified as Elijah Ricardo Clunie, 20, of Dorchester.

Two men were shot, one in the head, inside the Exclusive Barber Shop, 184 Washington St. in Dorchester's Four Corners neighborhood shortly before 12:55 p.m. - across the street from where another man was fatally shot last Sunday.

Boston Police report both victims were taken to local hospitals, where one was pronounced dead. The other is expected to survive.

"Preliminary information indicates that this is not a random act," police say.

WCVB talked to the deceased victim's grandfather.

The crazy part of it all is that the full video of the victims is being passed around, just seeing that young man laid out on that barber chair with blood leaking out his head is insane!! We have to do better

to jolt them out of the fantasy world they live in their heads. Nothing like a dose of reality to wake people the F up. Of course some people never wake up.

Gang activity in Four Corners again. This crap is getting old.
Anyone else old enough to remember when Four corners was a nice neighborhood?

When was Four Corners a nice neighborhood? 1964?

Not to say that's its a terrible neighborhood now... but realistically no I don't ever remember hearing it described as "nice"

Ever consider the fact that an old neighborhood- unless its exceptional- generally become less favorable due to the age of the homes, and amenities, and store space in the neighborhood? Like how long should something run of the ill remain "nice" for .. realistically?

I was referring to the early 1970s. Back then there were no organized large gangs like we know them today. Cocaine was to expensive to be considered a street drug.

Mainly because the station which stretches for over a half of a mile has only a handful of passengers.
