New Jersey man shot to death on Devon Street in Dorchester; two arrested although not charged with murder

A man was fatally shot in the head around 10:25 p.m. on Monday at 114 Devon St. in Dorchester.

Keith Cousin, 37, of Bayonne, NJ, was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds, Boston Police report.

Police also report arresting Daiquan Miller, 25, of Dorchester, and Darius Powell, 25, of Woonsocket, RI, both on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of a large-capacity feeding device.

Police say officers responding to the shooting spotted the two fleeing an alley around the corner at 270 Columbia Rd.:

These Officers exited their marked cruiser to speak with the individuals who immediately sprinted from the area. A foot pursuit ensued, and officers were able to stop both individuals.

A canvass of the area including the flight path of the suspects was conducted and the officers recovered two firearms.

At their arraignments in Dorchester Municipal Court today, both were ordered held without bail at least pending a dangerous hearing on Dec. 17.
