Police say they didn't let a sleeping motorist lie; instead they woke him up and arrested him for the loaded gun they say was in his armrest
Boston Police report arresting a Roxbury man they say was asleep behind the wheel of a car on Warren Street near Whiting Street shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Friday - but not for excessive tiredness.
During the investigation, Officers located a firearm inside the vehicle’s armrest. The weapon was later identified by District B-2 Detectives as a Smith & Wesson .40 Tactical firearm, loaded with one round in the chamber and nine rounds in the magazine.
Anderson was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, fourth offense, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm, firearm violation with two prior violent or drug offenses.
Anderson also got tickets for idling for more than five minutes and excessive window tint, police say.
