Larry Cheng explains how he gets his finger on the pulse of the economy by chatting with the owner of the Grassroots Deli on Devonshire Street - and he reports that pulse is still weak:
Fall 2009: Hopes of a pick-up in business after Labor Day have now faded. Business is still very slow. She said her paper supplier who has been working the Boston and Cape Cod region for 38 years said his business in Cape Cod fell by more than $1 million year over year.
