Why do they always announce the next "station stop?"

This is fine if they correctly announce "the next station stop will be Brandeis" and "the terminal stop for this train will be Fitchburg," except for the small detail that it isn't OK that you're going to Fitchburg. What's annoying is when they refer to terminal stops as station stops. Actually, a C-line operator the other day called out "the final station stop for this train will be Cleveland Circle," which, uh, no. You can't have a final station stop. It's a terminal stop even if they're doing a turnback at what's usually a station stop, but then the announcement should be that the train has been rerouted. Cleveland Circle can only BE a terminal stop, because, uh, it's a loop. You can't go past it, unless you go onto the nonrevenue tracks to the D or B line, but that isn't announced, because, duh. So no. Dumbasses.

...the T operators often say "North Station, change for the Purple Line."

Of course, the Starbucks employees also refer to the "Starbucks in Brighton Village." Not "The Brighton Village Starbucks" which I would just accept and take to mean that they're referring to the name of the new row of stores there, but they refer to it as being IN Brighton Village, thinking they get to rename Oak Square or something. Uhhhh no.
