Live Boston reports that shortly before midnight on Saturday, two motorcycle drivers collided at C Street and West Broadway in South Boston. The drivers, and a passenger on one of the bikes, ran away before firefighters or police arrived.

Several hours after a brake-spasmed Green Line trolley filled Copley station with smoke, a Red Line train pulled the same stunt at Broadway, around 4 p.m., sending smoke down the tunnel and into the South Station subway stop.
Red Line service towards Alewife went into delay mode as T workers strove to make the brake-locked train disappear.

The Zoning Board of Appeal today approved plans by the Playwright, 658 East Broadway, to expand its capacity and add residential units on floors above it - but board members said they are concerned by complaints from nearby residents about boisterious, often angry customers, especially at closing time.
