At today's Boston Wi-Fi Summit, Doug Schremp from BTS Partners just gave an overview of the analysis of a Wi-Fi survey in Boston from the perspective of individuals and organizations. During his presentation he outlined several questions that may be discussed further at today's summit.

The agenda is available as a PDF and is listed on Councillor Tobin's weblog.

Neighborhood residents interested in the future of wireless technology in Boston attended a WiFi community forum on April 19 at the Boston Public Library to contribute to the planning of the city's first WiFi Summit.

I just posted a video from the forum over at Boston City Councillor John Tobin's Video Blog.

The Boston Wi-Fi Meetup happens the second Wednesday of each month. The next meetup is on Wednesday, June 8th.

At the June Meetup we'll be meeting in Waltham for a field trip along the Watch City Wireless community network on Moody Street. Thomas McGonagle and Robbert Abbott, the project founders, will walk us through the project and describe their process and vision to make things happen. If you're curious about what it takes to set up a community-based Wi-Fi network in your neighborhood this will be a good opportunity to ask questions and learn more.
