The Zoning Board of Appeal on Tuesday approved a marijuana dispensary at 1295-1297 River St., in Hyde Park, but owner Geneise Israel said that even if she now quickly gets the required state approval, she won't open her door until after the decaying and now closed River Street Bridge right next door is re-opened. SK Convenience, 1283 River St. in Hyde Park, was held up around 9:40 p.m. by a man who then ran across the River Street Bridge and onto Business Street. He was described as Black, in his 40s, wearing all black clothing and gloves with a balaclava over his face and about 5'8."

WBZ reports a man walked into SK Convenience, 1283 River St. in Hyde Park, shortly after 9 a.m. put a gun to a clerk's head and when she couldn't open a cash register fast enough, threw her to the ground and threatened to kill her - as her five-year-old daughter was in the back of the store, which is around the corner from the E-18 police station.
